One of the first wines tasted from Ratte, initially sampled during a visit in early 2022. It’s a pleasure to finally have this in hand. This wine features a brief maceration—not aimed at extracting colour but enhancing texture—with the juice fermented and matured in sandstone amphora. The result is a wine brimming with texture, complemented by an abundance of fennel-laden spice and exotic fruit. The finish is remarkably long, leaving one wishing for a larger allocation.
