Robert Sinskey Vineyards
Like many vintners we speak to, Robert Sinskey didn’t exactly plan to dedicate his life to making wine. In the 80s after attending art school and pursuing photojournalism he was called back home to Napa Valley to assist his father with the struggling family vineyard. Robert suggested to his father that they try their hands at making wine rather than just selling grapes. He vowed to keep his stay to 6 months, just enough time to build the winery and hire someone else to run it...and then he met Pinot Noir. Funny how that tends to happen.
