Jean-Paul Brun started Terres Dorées in 1979 in Charnay, an area in southern Beaujolais that is slightly warmer and more limestone-driven than the granite-rich villages in the north. Today, his southern vineyards have grown to 30 acres, with 15 hectares added in the northern Crus.

To Jean-Paul, carbonic maceration convolutes and masks the true terroir of Beaujolais. Instead, he opts for a more Burgundian approach to fermentation, beginning with hand sorting the fruit, destemming, and conducting longer, slower ferments using only indigenous yeasts.

This wine boasts a vibrant dark ruby colour, with pronounced notes of ripe cherries, thyme, and cooked red berries. It is dry and medium-bodied with notes of black fruit on the palate, complemented by fresh acidity and minerality on the finish.
