Bruno Dubois

Taking over for his Dad and Uncle in 2002, Bruno is reponsible for just under 10 hectares of Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc vineyards ranging in age from 45-65 years old. The vines are planted amongst native brush, trees, flora and fauna.

Choosing the "organic" is not the simplest choice on these eleven hectares planted with chenin and cabernet franc, it's always a way to commit to a demanding quality, to strive for the best, the most healthy, the liveliest ... but the adventure is also the most risky. It is then nature that commands. And his whims are sometimes dreadful. At the time of the grape harvest light teams roam the ranks, the sorting takes place here first, on the ground. The grapes are placed in buckets then small boxes to spare the bay.

Here in Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg in the heart of the appellation "Saumur Champigny". On the soft slopes bordering the languid left bank of the Loire, the vine is here at home. It offers angevin sweetness its voluptuous bunches. The river so close, round or tumultuous, resembles the wines leaning towards it; and gives him his beautiful character, tender and solid at the same time.
