The philosophy behind Vinhos Aparte is centered around giving their wines the necessary time and peace to be fully expressive. This means taking a hands-off approach to winemaking and allowing the grapes to express themselves fully. The winery works with native grape varieties from around Lisbon and ferments their wines wildly in an old warehouse turned winery. All of the grapes are hand-picked, and the wines are made without any additives.

The team behind Vinhos Aparte believes that by taking a minimal intervention approach to winemaking, they can allow the grapes to truly express the terroir of the region. They also believe in supporting local farmers who are working naturally and sustainably, and all of their grapes are sourced from these farmers.

Vinhos Aparte's philosophy is also reflected in the limited edition nature of their bottles, which feature art created by their friends based on the idea of the harvests. This adds a personal touch to each bottle and reflects the care and attention that goes into every step of the winemaking process.
